DEDICATION
Humayun Reynold Peters.
1956 - 2003
Dear NURSES,
Humayun was the creator of
the basic concept which evolved to become NURSES CARD.
He passed into eternal life from Ward 5C, RBH, on Wednesday,
2nd April.
For the last three years, Humayun
had been singing the praises of you, his Nurses. He was constantly
regaling his friends and business colleagues with stories of
how well you looked after him and how dedicated you all are.
None of us is a perfect patient,
and Humayun was no exception. But no matter how difficult he
found things at times, he always reported that your attention
and care of him never wavered and was always fantastic! He wanted
you to know how much he appreciated all of you.
Humayun was quite an innovative
entrepreneur and businessman, and he dearly wanted to do something
for your benefit when he was well again. Sadly, that was not
to be.
However, he has designed this
beautiful project called NURSES CARD
It is all about making your dollars go further, of securing savings,
bonuses, and extra value for you when you shop.
He was distressed by your need
for all the industrial action in 2002; knew he couldn't do anything
himself to increase your wages; and figured that the NURSES
CARD would achieve a similar outcome more money
in your pocket at the end of the month.
So, now that NURSES CARD
is launched, you can have the well-deserved satisfaction of knowing
that these substantial benefits (maybe millions of dollars) will
be flowing to you and to your fellow Nurses only because
you looked after Humayun so well..
Thank you so much, and God bless you all.
We dedicate the Nurses Card
project
as a living memorial
to a lovely man,
Humayun Peters.

A friend of 20 years,
